A Brazilian point of view

In Brazil, waxing is body care, not an afterthought.

It is part of a familiar maintenance routine: attentive to the details, direct about personal preference, and careful about how skin feels before and after the appointment.

At Bella Brazil, that perspective shapes every area, from upper lip and underarms to legs and full Brazilian, without making the experience feel clinical or impersonal.

Your first appointment

Know what to expect before your first wax.

A little preparation helps the wax grip the hair cleanly and gives freshly waxed skin a calmer start afterward.

Before

Let the hair grow enough to grip.

Aim for about 1/4 inch, roughly the length of a grain of rice. Arrive with clean, dry skin and no lotion or body oil on the area.

Tell us before the appointment if you use retinoids, isotretinoin, antibiotics, or if the skin is sunburned, irritated, or recently treated.

During

Your preference is confirmed first.

You can ask questions, discuss sensitivity, and confirm exactly how much hair you want removed. Intimate waxing is handled with clear communication and respect for privacy.

After

Give freshly waxed skin room to settle.

Temporary redness can be normal. For the next 24 to 48 hours, avoid hot baths, saunas, intense workouts, direct sun, and tight clothing or friction on the area.

A smoother reset than shaving, without a long-term commitment.

Waxing removes hair from the root instead of cutting it at the skin's surface. That means no next-day razor stubble, and a routine you can schedule area by area as hair regrows.

Waxing or laser?

Choose the result you want now, and the routine you want next.

Both services remove unwanted hair, but they solve different problems. The right choice depends on whether you want immediate smoothness or a longer-term reduction plan.

Choose waxing

Immediate smoothness

Best when you want a flexible appointment, one or more specific areas, and no treatment series.

Long-term hair reduction

Best when you are ready for a consistent series and want to reduce repeated shaving or waxing over time.

Waxing FAQ

Answers that make the first booking easier.

Waxing is personal. These are the questions clients most often want answered before choosing an area or booking for the first time.

What is the difference between bikini line and full Brazilian?

Bikini line waxing removes visible hair around the edges of underwear or a swimsuit. A full Brazilian removes all or most hair from the intimate area. Your preference is confirmed before the service begins.

How long should my hair be before waxing?

About 1/4 inch, or roughly the length of a grain of rice, gives the wax enough hair to grip. Hair that is too short may not lift cleanly.

Does waxing hurt?

Waxing creates brief discomfort as the hair is removed from the root, and sensitivity varies by person and area. Clear communication, proper preparation, and working in controlled sections help make the appointment more manageable.

Can I wax while using retinoids or acne medication?

Some medications and topical products can make skin more fragile. Tell us before booking if you use retinoids, isotretinoin, antibiotics, or prescription acne medication so the area can be assessed safely. When in doubt, ask your healthcare provider.

Can I switch from waxing to laser hair removal?

Yes. Waxing must pause before a laser series because laser needs the follicle target to remain present. A laser consultation can help you plan the timing between your final wax and first laser session.
